Living Chronically.

About me.

I am Melissa, I am 21 (22 in September) I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. There are SIX Types of EDS, my consultants are still unsure what type I have but its more than likely Vascular ED's only1 in 20,000 people get ED's and it effects everyone in different ways with varying severities. As well as ED's I have Fibromyalgia which is still unknown as too why people develop it, Raynaud's Disease which is a vascular disorder that restricts blood flow to the extremities. My hands, Feet and the tip of my nose are the most effected. An A-Systolic Heart Murmur and POTS.

My Aim

This blog is a bit of everything, I want to raise awareness about invisible disabilities. I want to give people an insight on parenting two boys one being disabled whilst being disabled my self and how hard it can be and the guilt that comes along with it. But most of all I want to share, share products I use for myself and my family, share the trials and tribulations of parenting. I want to create and open space, a safe space. I promise too not only show the highlights of life but that hard parts as well, the days where you wish the ground would open up and swallow you whole.

Well if you got this far, Thank you. Keep an eye out for more exciting content and feel free to contact me if you want me too talk about something specific

This is me, Crutches and all.
